Teacher Resources
The IMC is open to ASU education majors, ASU Cooperating Teachers, and public school teachers in the eight ASU school partnership counties of Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Burke, Caldwell, Watauga, and Wilkes.
Teacher Borrower's Card
Teachers in the eight county partnership must sign up for a Free Teacher Borrower's Card in order to access the Idea Factory and borrow library materials. To sign up for the card, complete the following steps:
- Print the voucher
- Have the voucher signed by your principal
- Present the voucher, along with photo identification, at the Belk Library circulation desk
The Idea Factory
The Idea Factory is located in room 031 of the IMC on the lower level of Belk Library and Information Commons. ASU College of Education majors and area educators with a Teacher's Borrower Card may use this resource to create materials to enhance their teaching. The Idea Factory is open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., and on weekends by appointment. Contact Margaret Gregor (gregormn@appstate.edu, 262-8088) by noon on Friday to arrange a time for weekend access. ASU students must present their AppCard when signing in to use the Idea Factory.
