On Saturday June 10, the Special Collections Research Center hosted a Saturday open house for the Camp Yonahlossee reunion attendees. The camp would've been 100 years old this year. It was well attended with approximately 100 people who were more than engaged with us and enthusiastic about what we had on display for them.
This event culminated in donations of physical items for the existing collection, interest in oral history interviews, and an interest in financially supporting the collection. For more information visit the Special Collections Blog post or the Watauga Democrat article.
