The University Libraries and the Hayes School of Music hosted a guitar concert featuring Drew Henderson, music producer and classical guitarist from Toronto, Canada. The concert also featured App State guitar professors Adam Kossler and Doug James (retired) and was held in the Cratis Williams Reading room of Special Collections 4th floor Belk Library.
As one of the leading recording engineers for the classical guitar, Henderson recorded three five-hour recording sessions during his visit. These sessions featured all of the performers in the concert, in addition to the library's own Gary Boye and Hayes School of Music faculty and students. All of the materials recorded are a part of the Matanya Ophee Collection and will be used to market the Collection worldwide.
Henderson's visit was made possible by a University Libraries Bivens Grant.
