MerelFest Update:
In April, representatives from the Special Collections Research Center and other University Libraries teams attended MerleFest where we had our first ever booth to promote the MerleFest Archives to festival attendees. We also continued our annual oral history project, interviewing performing artists like Dom Flemons from the Carolina Chocolate Drops as well as others who make the festival possible.
"We had quite a few people stop in just to see what we had to offer at our table. They seemed excited to know that the history and materials from Merlefest were being perserved and well cared for in our Archives," said Mark Coltrain.
