Nicholas Erneston Music Library will sponsor an open house featuring materials from the collection of Matanya Ophee in the Music Library this Friday, April 1st at 3pm. This is the large collection of printed guitar music from the 19th- and early 20th-centuries that we purchased last spring. This event might be the best chance to see this much of it on exhibit at one time. The exhibit is in conjunction with the 25th anniversay Appalachian State GuitarFest (https://music.appstate.edu/guitarfest). The concerts Friday night and Saturday night should be spectacular, and note this will be the last GuitarFest run by Dr. Doug James, who retires after this semester.
