On Wednesday April 13th at 4 pm, Dr. Candace Bailey, professor of Music from North Carolina Central University, gave a presentation in Room 421 Belk Library on the Jenny Lind Song Album. Dr. Candace Bailey will be presenting about "The Swedish Nightingale" Jenny Lind's unique album of printed music, which is part of the Rare Music Books & Manuscripts in Special Collections. The Song Album was purchased using the Max Smith Endowment. Dr. Bailey has published several books on women and music in the 19th century and spent time on campus researching in our collections.
