Description: 

Collections range from digitized manuscripts (Beowulf and Leonardo da Vinci’s Notebook) and illuminated manuscripts, to an extensive collection of maps from around the world.

The British Library has a collection of over 170 million items includes artefacts from every age of written civilisation. It keeps the UK's archive of printed and digital publications, adding around three million new items to the collection every year.
