On April 14, 2025, the University Libraries Special Collections Research Center and the Hayes School of Music teamed up to host an open house event celebrating the Ophee Collection.
Held on the 4th floor of Belk Library, the showcase featured live performances by music students who brought pieces from the collection to life. Visitors had the chance to explore the collection up close while enjoying a variety of classical guitar works performed in an intimate library setting. The event blended music and history in a fun and engaging way, giving everyone a new appreciation for the Ophee Collection and the talent of the student performers.
