The Library was overrun with approximately 300 zombie spawn at our 5th Annual Humans Vs. Zombies Library Event. Co-sponsored by the App State Geek Guild, the event has become one of the most popular we host for students. Dressed in zombie make up, costumes, armed with nerf guns and plenty of energy, the group completed two games as the activities lasted until midnight.
"We LOVE collaborating with the Geek Guild!" said co chair, Sai Estepp. "Library Faculty and staff love the shift in energy on the night of the game, it's infectious and fun. We find ourselves looking forward to the next year, writing down all the lessons learned from the games each year. The games were an overall rousing success and we look forward to 2025."

Join us for the fifth installment of Humans Vs Zombies!
Similar to tag, Humans v Zombies is an interactive game where zombies attempt to decimate the human population. Everyone is equipped with a nerf gun except for the couple of "zombies" to start off the game. The library will provide a limited number of nerf guns, so bring your own if possible! Alliances and fun encouraged!
Snacks and water will be provided. This event is a partnership between University Libraries and ASU Geek Guild
Arrive by 8:30 to attend a mandatory rules session, games begin at 9pm. Since Wal-Mart is closed, Nerf guns can be purchased at Amazon or Wal-Mart online. *Remember, No mods to guns (example: painting to look realistic), standard nerf style dart ammo only (No Ball Ammo), and all Guns must be under 130 FPF*:
