University Library Liaisons participated in an Information Literacy Basecamp Summer Institute workshop on June 8 at the Valle Crucis Conference Center.
The purpose of the IL Basecamp Summer Institute was to allow all librarians who have instructional responsibilities to gather together to share teaching instructional pedagogies and learn in community. The program is a couple of years old and received funding from the University Libraries to host. The workshop consisted of a full day of professional development, presentations and information sharing for our Liaison Program.
"The IL Basecamp was a wonderful opportunity for librarians to talk about work, learn from each other and build excitement about working with faculty and students in the fall," said Information Literacy coordinator, Kelly Rhodes.
Rhodes shared the event was very helpful and the group hoped to continue workshop for years to come.
