Three Library staff members earned Masters in Library Science degrees at University of North Carolina Greensboro.
A Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) is a two-year graduate degree that teaches students how to manage information and books, especially in libraries. Students learn about the collection, organization, preservation, and management of information, as well as how to use technology to help others access it. They also explore advanced aspects of library management and operations, and learn about record management and the legal status of libraries.
