Suzanne Wise, coordinator of the Stock Car Racing Collection was featured in a news interview about Stock Car Racing. Suzanne Wise who is currently an adjunct professor in phased retirement was recognized for her expertise in the sport of Stock Car racing.

The photo depicts Don Horton and Oscar Joines, members of the 1913 Appalachian Training School baseball team. A copy of the photograph is hanging in the permanent exhibit on the 4th floor hallway in Belk Library.
Special Collections was featured in an article from the Watauga Democrat about the Mountain Home Music exhibit at the Jones House. Thanks to Veronica Wells for making the exhibit possible and for representing during the opening reception on August 2nd! The exhibit is up for the month of August so if you haven't already, please stop by and see it.
Special collections recently installed a Indigenous Appalachia Exhibit on the 4th floor. The exhibition is courtesy of a collaboration with West Virginia University.
