We are pleased to announce that Mr. Paul Orkiszewski will serve as the Interim Dean of the University Libraries effective November 1, 2019. Paul brings a wealth of leadership experience and institutional memory to this role. He joined the Library Faculty at Appalachian State University in March 2002 and has held a variety of leadership and supervisory positions in the areas of library acquisitions and collections, technology, and scholarly communication. Prior to his arrival at Appalachian, Paul had worked primarily as a music librarian, including positions at Rice University and Louisiana State University. He holds an MLIS from The University of Texas at Austin, and MMus and BMus from Rice University. Please join us in congratulating Paul on his appointment.
