PubMed provides access to MEDLINE, the National Library of Medicine database of citations and abstracts in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, health care systems, and preclinical sciences. It indexes about 5000 current journals. About 8-10% of Pubmed records are not in MEDLINE. PubMed is free on the web, but use this route into PubMed to get our library's links to full text. Also, about one third of recent PubMed records link to free full text in PubMed Central.
