On April 19, we hosted our annual Scholarship Luncheon. We awarded 25 scholarships this year, most of which are funded by Library Advisory Board members and other generous donors. Since the program began we have awarded over $252,000.00 to 179 students.
The luncheon student speaker was Ivy Molina Herrera. Ivy is graduating with a degree from the College of Business. She is from Charlotte, North Carolina and was awarded the library employee scholarship through the Mary Reichel and Rao Aluri.
Dean Polanka remarked, "We are honored and pleased to host our 11th annual University Libraries Student Employee Scholarship Luncheon. I can say without a doubt we have the best student employee work force on the entire campus. The Scholarship Luncheon is one of the highlights of our year."
