Library Council Member, Bettie Bond was named Parade Marshall of the 2024 July 4th Parade in Boone.
Bettie Bond was was one of the original members of the Library Advisory Board for the University Libraries created in 1995. A board that was created to assist with the planning and fund raising for the Belk Library Information and Commons opened in 2005.
