The Dean's Library Student Advisory Board hard at work at their last meeting of the year on April 3. The group assisted in usability testing on the new Library Search tool. Also honored were graduating members, Eliot Harris, Christian Chavez Gonzalez and JP Bautista. The Board gives students a voice in shaping University Libraries services, resources, and spaces. Student board members gain résumé-worthy leadership experience and develop skills in collaboration, project management, marketing, public relations, etc. Service as a board member is open to all current undergraduate and graduate students of Appalachian State University. We value diversity on the board and we aspire to include students representing a variety of academic colleges and special populations, such as transfer, international, or first-generation students. We appreciate all their hard work and will miss our graduating members.
