Books for children and young adults
Located on the lower level of Belk Library, the Instructional Materials Center is a model Pre-K – 12 school media center. IMC materials are available for checkout by students, faculty, and staff, as well as area educators and community members.

eBooks
- MackinVIA offers a growing collection of eBooks for students from pre-kindergarten through grade 8. Many eBooks are interactive and designed for struggling or reluctant readers. MackinVia Apps are available for most devices.
- Libby also offers eBooks for children and teens, with an especially large collection of Young Adult fiction. See the eBooks page to learn how to use Libby.
Streaming
- The Just for Kids Streaming Collection is a kid-safe, advertisement-free media platform with over 9,000 titles and 12,000 segments from producers like PBS and Reading Rainbow. It is available for off-campus use by students, faculty, and staff who log in with their App State credentials.
- Kanopy, the library's streaming video service, has more than a thousand K-12 lessons ranging from Spanish language learning cartoons for elementary schoolers to calculus tutorials for high school students.
