  • Articles: Frequently within 24-36 hours as a downloadable PDF.
  • Books and other physical items: Typically arrive within 2 weeks.

How to Request an Item Through Interlibrary Loan

There are two ways to request materials we don’t own:

Option 1: Through Library Search

  • Log in for the best experience.
  • Find the citation for the item you need.
  • Select the best “Get It” option and follow the steps to submit your request.

Examples:

On item records in Library Search, the Get it from Other Libraries section will show options for requesting physical and/or digital copies of the item (only for App State users)

An estimated delivery time will be listed for each item. Digital copies are often delivered within 24 hours by email.

Option 2: Using a Rapido Form

  • If you have a citation from a source outside of Library Search, complete a Rapido request form.
  • Provide as much detail as possible to help us locate the item.
  • Submit the form.

Legacy Requests

ILLiad accounts will remain available for submitting requests until May 2026.
