- The Music Library  and the Appalachian Collection  also have additional audio visual materials relevant to their areas.

- Only faculty are eligible to borrow DVDs, films or videos from WCU or UNCA.
Public performance license
Most films are purchased by the Library and lent to ASU faculty, staff, students, and other eligible patrons for classroom and personal use only. Other uses may require that a public performance license be obtained. To determine whether and under what circumstances these films may be displayed to an audience, contact the film's vendor or movie rights agency. The Library purchases some films , mostly documentaries and educational films, that come with a Public Performance License for showings on the Appalachian State University campus. SASASAAS (Southern Atlantic States Association for Asian and African Studies)
SASASAAS has been disbanded.
During the SASASAAS board meeting on February 20, 2016, a decision was made to dissolve the organization. Accordingly, the SASASAAS webpage will no longer be available after December 15, 2016.
SASASAAS audiovisual resources were donated to the Appalachian State University Libraries. These materials may be borrowed via your local library’s usual interlibrary loan mechanisms.
