Music Library’s Dr. Gary Boye and Shane Watson performed with the Appalachian Chorale on Tuesday, November 18th.
Under the direction of conductor, Jordan Shomper the concert celebrated the Appalachian Chorale’s 50th anniversary. As part of the celebration, they performed Carol Barnett’s The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass, as well as a set of three pieces by Timothy Michael Powell, Dear Appalachia. Both pieces included a bluegrass band with fiddle, mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar, and string bass.
