Rapido Arrives at Appalachian State: More Access, Simpler Requests

Appalachian State University Libraries is pleased to announce the launch of Rapido, a new interlibrary loan and document delivery system.  Rapido is fully integrated into the new Library Search interface introduced in summer 2025.

Rapido will provide faculty, staff, and students with a faster, more intuitive way to discover and request physical and electronic materials from a wide network of partner libraries. Because Rapido is built directly into Library Search, users can search, request, and track items all in one place without creating a separate account.

By streamlining the process and expanding access, Rapido enhances resource sharing and supports teaching, learning, and research across campus. With this launch, Appalachian State University Libraries reaffirms its commitment to delivering exceptional service and making access to information more seamless than ever before.

The Libraries will begin using Rapido in December 2025. All interlibrary loan requests, including Rapido requests, will be paused from December 19, 2025 to January 5, 2026 for winter break.
