Library Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for Special Collections (Appalachian Collection, Stock Car Racing Collection, Rare Books and Manuscripts, and Public Services)
  • Promotes the collections and work of the Special Collections Research Center through outreach to the campus and local, national, and international community
  • Curates the Rare Books & Manuscripts collecting area
  • Provides instruction, in-depth research consultations, and outreach for Rare Books & Manuscripts
  • Supports curricular needs for rare and archival material
