Computers in the library

  • Students, faculty, and staff: All University Libraries locations have PCs and Macs in the building for student, faculty, and staff use.
  • Community: Public access computers at Belk and Hickory can be used by community members. Just request a guest pass at the desk. Passes provide 3 consecutive hours of computer use daily.
  • Media production: The Digital Media Studio in Belk Library has computers for media production (such as video editing).

Software

  • Library computers already have popular software like Microsoft Office installed.
  • If you would like to request that additional software be added to our library computers, please submit a tech support ticket and, if possible, we will get it added. The time it takes will vary depending on the timing of the request and the software requested.
  • For information about campus licenses for specific software, check ITS's Service and Software Catalog.
