Makerspace Grand Opening!

You are invited to a three day event full of food, prizes, and fun!  Come out January 31st, February 1st and February 2nd from 1-4pm to learn more about the space, use some of the equipment, and eat.  There will also be a prize drawing of a 3Doodler 3D printing pen.  Join us!

The Belk Library Makerspace is a space where students, faculty and staff can use equipment to create anything they can dream up.  The makerspace is free to use, and will be open for various times thoughout the semester.

3D Printing - Learn the ins and outs of 3D printing.  If you ever wanted to get a model printed, this is the workshop for you.

Attention all students (Undergraduate and Graduate)!

Belk Library is looking for volunteers to serve on the Belk Library Student Advisory Committee. This committee, which began in Fall 2010 has done many exciting things to make the library a more user-centered environment. The committee is charged to advise, plan and evaluate new services and operate as a sounding board and test group for new and existing services and new library initiatives.

A workshop for anyone planning international study/travel or wanting to expand their knowledge of world cultures. Whether you are going to study-abroad, participate in an international alternative service experience, or head out on a summer or gap year adventure. The Library can help you prepare for global adventures with our wide range of language learning resources, documentaries and feature films, global literature, travel guides, and library distance education support while abroad. 

Introduction to Zotero Citation Management Software

Zotero is free!  You create a personal library to capture and store citations, pdf’s and more that you locate via an online catalog, google scholar, databases, or other websites. When writing your paper you can easily insert in-text citations and create bibliographies. No more cutting and pasting citation information into a Word document.  No more trying to find that pdf you saved somewhere on your desktop.  Really.
