Ever wanted to create a 3D model?  Get it printed?  Maybe you are interested in creating something electronic?  Come to the Belk Library's free technology workshops.  Workshops are open to all students, faculty and staff.  No experience necessary!  

3D Printing - Learn the ins and outs of 3D printing.  If you ever wanted to get a model printed, this is the workshop for you.

Attention all students (Undergraduate and Graduate)!

Belk Library is looking for volunteers to serve on the Belk Library Student Advisory Committee. This committee, which began in Fall 2010 has done many exciting things to make the library a more user-centered environment. The committee is charged to advise, plan and evaluate new services and operate as a sounding board and test group for new and existing services and new library initiatives.

A workshop for anyone planning international study/travel or wanting to expand their knowledge of world cultures. Whether you are going to study-abroad, participate in an international alternative service experience, or head out on a summer or gap year adventure. The Library can help you prepare for global adventures with our wide range of language learning resources, documentaries and feature films, global literature, travel guides, and library distance education support while abroad. 

Introduction to Zotero Citation Management Software

Zotero is free!  You create a personal library to capture and store citations, pdf’s and more that you locate via an online catalog, google scholar, databases, or other websites. When writing your paper you can easily insert in-text citations and create bibliographies. No more cutting and pasting citation information into a Word document.  No more trying to find that pdf you saved somewhere on your desktop.  Really.

Appalachian Continues its Sustainability Project at American Cultural Centers in China

The American Cultural Center (ACC) established at Northeastern University (NEU) in Shenyang, China, by Appalachian State University continued a second year of sustainability activities that included presentations and film discussions led by faculty from Appalachian.

No more waiting in long lines just to print a few pages.  The Belk Library now has an Express Print Station for printing 10 pages or less.  It is located on the first floor, near the front entrance.
